And Maybe Some Dates Would Be In Order!
Submitted by mike_campbell on Tue, 01/26/2010 - 12:28.Hallo again,
I guess if a bunch of you want to go to the Gordie Johnson show, letting you know when it is would be helpful, right? Sorry about that - that's what happens when it gets late and the brain turns to mush...
Gordie Johnson will be at The Carleton Music Bar & Grill on Wednesday, March 3rd. Show time is 9 PM and tickets are $20.

Submitted by mike_campbell on Tue, 01/26/2010 - 06:06.Hallo,
Just home from the first - official - Robbie Burns event of my life. Hey, I've been to scotch drinking exercises in his honour before but this was full-on: bagpipes, haggis blessing, toasting, speechifying, the celebration of the life of a man, truth to tell, I'd only had a passing knowledge of and I'm glad I was there (at The Carleton, of course)...
Matt Minglewood Tonight (Monday, January 18th) at The Carleton - 9 PM - $25
Submitted by mike_campbell on Mon, 01/18/2010 - 02:41.Hey Folks,

Still jazzed about it so I thought I'd send out a quick reminder that Matt is playing again tonight (Monday, January 18th) and we still have some tickets available... So, if you're leaning towards going, I can tell you the show is really, really good and Matt is in great form - you will not be disappointed!

Holy Smokes! J.P. Cormier Blows the Room Away - Spur-Of-The-Moment Show Added For Monday!
Submitted by mike_campbell on Mon, 01/11/2010 - 03:51.I know what you're thinking... No newsletter for weeks and now, suddenly, two - back-to-back... Rest assured I wouldn't do this if I didn't think it was important. Fact of the matter is,
J.P. Cormier - along with his band, Mike and Bill Elliot - kinda blew the roof off our joint last night
. We were so impressed, we decided to have them play again
tonight, Monday, January 11th

2010 Is Looking Pretty Good, So Far - Bruce Guthro Announcement & Other Shows
Submitted by mike_campbell on Sun, 01/10/2010 - 21:12.Happy 2010, everybody. I trust you you had a great holiday season and are ready to bravely face the coming year with all the enthusiasm that a new decade deserves. Frankly, I cannot believe the first decade of this century has whipped by at the speed it has and I'm hoping this second one will dawdle a bit, even just a little...
I'm going to keep this year's first newsletter short and sweet because I've got some show info to impart and ranting to the media over the last three days about my parking frustrations has sapped my writing juice. So, here's what's happening...
Ah 2009, We'll Miss You, I Suppose... But First, A New Year's Eve Update...

The second dinner sitting (9 PM) is totally sold out.
Ho Freaking Ho Freaking Ho, Etc...
Submitted by mike_campbell on Mon, 12/21/2009 - 01:37.It seems incomprehensible but Christmas is this week. Why is it I can never get organized for this day, even though - unlike, say, Easter - it falls on the same day, in the same month, every single, relentless year? If you have the answer to that question, let me know - it might save me some grief when it rolls around again next year...
New Year's Eve at The Carleton Music Bar & Grill... and a few other things...

New Year's Eve is one of those nights that you either look forward to with child-like anticipation, or dread like the monster in the closet. It's a polarizing event. I've been on both sides of it over the years but now generally look forward to it as a night to get together with friends to have a good time.
