Last fall’s show was sold out so we’re pleased as punch to bring back Alfie, this time with pals Natalie Lynn + Zora The Sultan at the newly renovated Carleton on Friday, March 9th. Show time is 10 PM and advanced tickets can be had at ProSkates in Halifax or New Scotland Yard in Dartmouth for $10 or you can pay $15 at the door.
Alfie is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. For the past 10 years Alfie has been notably involved in the Hip Hop scene in Halifax. His last project released in 2014 was nominated for Hip Hop recording of the year at the Music Nova Scotia Awards. Since then, Alfie has been dedicated to reinventing himself, while experimenting with genres of music that were the earliest influences in his life, which shaped his love for Soul, Funk, and R&B music at a young age. Now, Alfie and his sultry 4-piece band bring a new and refreshing sound to the city. One to make you move on the inside, and outside.
Natalie Lynn connects the dots between pop sensibilities, indie style, and rock fervour for a sound that is equal parts modern and nostalgic. Short and to the point.
Zora The Sultan is a DJ/ Turntablist who cuts and mixes records that make people dance, laugh and occaisonally high-five eachother. Zora is based out of Halifax, NS and was awarded BEST DJ for The Coast Best Of’ Awards in 2015.
