Well here’s a “don’t-miss-this!” double bill if ever I’ve seen one! Newfoundland‘s brilliant Fortunate Ones release their debut CD, The Bliss, at The Carleton on Monday, March 2nd, with able support from Winnipeg‘s freshly Juno-nominated Del Barber. Show time is 8 PM and tickets are only $15 (+ booking fee). Do. Not. Miss. This.

Fortunate Ones play our stage every chance we get to book them and were here most recently opening for Rose Cousins’ run of three sold out shows in November. They are phenomenal and the new album is a wonderful piece of work they are rightfully proud of. Check out the video for the title cut below.

And what can we say about Del Barber? The Winnipeg artist was last at our place with Catherine MacLellan for a show that ranks right up there with some of the best we’ve ever presented. Del was just nominated for a Juno Award in the Roots/Traditional category for his excellent Prairieography album.
