The Halifax Urban F0lk Festival returns for its 9th year at The Carleton and is pleased to present the Crash Test Dummies‘ main man, Brad Roberts, with the Halifax All Stars on Friday, August 31st. The opening songwriters’ circle will consist of Hey Rosetta‘s Tim Baker, Lilly Hiatt and Casino NS’s latest Artist In Residence, T. Thomason. For nearly 30 years, Brad Roberts has been “one of the most famous voices in Canadian rock and roll” (CBC). As the frontman for the JUNO Award-winning group Crash Test Dummies, Roberts underpinned the group’s biggest hits such as “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm” and “Superman’s Song” with his unmistakable timbre and delivery.  Brad will be accompanied by the HFX All Stars and the show will kick off with the Opening Songwriters’ Circle featuring Lilly Hiatt, Tim Baker, and T. Thomason.
