Pillow Fite is an alt-folk band from Halifax, NS formed by Art Ross (they/them) and Aaron Green (he/him) over voice memos and text messages of song ideas during the Covid lockdown. Drawing influence from Phoebe Bridgers and Snail Mail, Pillow Fite use confessional, matter-of-fact lyrics over intricate guitar arrangements and lush dynamics. The duo’s vastly different musical approaches compliment each other to produce sweet yet biting songs about road trips, queer love and mental health. Pillow Fite’s first single, Playing the Fool, will be released April 30th, 2021. Two more singles are slated for release later on this year, with the band already in pre-production for their first full length release early 2022.

Singer-songwriter Elsie Morden takes a colourful approach to the country music genre, infusing both pop and rock sounds into her music inspired by Kacey Musgraves, Brandi Carlile, and Taylor Swift. With songs about love, longing, perseverance, and hope all told through a polished lens of honest and heartfelt storytelling, Elsie has a unique ability to connect with audiences. In 2020, Elsie was recognized as one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 30 Under 30 by Atlantic Business Magazine. She is currently working on her next release and second full-length record.
