In light of the region’s provincial governments’ decision to postpone the institution of the Atlantic Bubble, we’ve decided to move the dates for our Kim Harris/Rachel Beck co-headlining shows. Please see the new show information below…
Two of the East Coast’s best songwriters – Kim Harris and Rachel Beck – team up for a second co-headlining show at The Carleton on Sunday, June 20th. Show time is 2 PM and tickets are $20 + HST advanced, or $25 at the door. We don’t expect tickets to last long for this amazing duo, so don’t sit on your hands, get ’em NOW!
***If you want to sit with others who have purchased their tickets separately, please email email@example.com with the names***
Kim Harris‘ lush, emotionally driven alternative pop is rich, deep and moving. Her sophomore album, Heirloom, was named by CBC Music as one of the top 25 Canadian albums to look for in 2020, and received an 8/10 review from monthly Canadian music magazine, Exclaim! Harris has been hailed by CBC Music as “the mightiest voice coming out of the East Coast” and has shared the stage with artists like Jenn Grant and Amelia Curran. Heirloom was recorded with award-winning producer Daniel Ledwell and released in January 2020 on LHM Records.
Canadian singer-songwriter Rachel Beck’s sophomore record, Stronger Than You Know, is an echoing cry-out from a forest, a chilling dance upon a grave, an arrow shooting straight to the heart of what is, a call to strength. Intimate and close, the six-track EP, recorded at Echo Lake (Halifax, NS), is sonically decorated amidst compelling electronic rhythms and dreamy synth layers. Beck’s vocals float across the vivid, harmony-laden, ethereal soundscape for which she has become known.
