We’re excited to present super-cool Oakville, ON duo YASSiN & Sean Terrio in a co-headlining situation with local Brett Matthews at The Carleton on Thursday, July 10th. Show time is 7:30 PM and tickets are $25 + HST.

Deeply emotional and highly fun, with great hair and love songs for days, YASSiN & Sean Terrio make genre-crossing music exemplified by soulful vocals and big song production. Hailing from the town of Oakville, Ontario, the two met in 2019 while attending an open mic night at Oakville’s legendary Moonshine Cafe. They quickly discovered their musical and onstage chemistry, and immediately began writing songs together.

In 2020 they released their single Take My Time, which has amassed over 1 million streams across Spotify & YouTube. In 2021, their musical journey took another big step forward when they placed 2nd in Canada’s Walk of Fame Emerging Musician Program. In 2024 the duo then got accepted into RBC x Music’s First Up Program. Two years of performing across Canada, several singles later, plus their recent virality with their musical/comedy bits reaching over 90 million eyes on Tik Tok & Instagram earning them over 100 thousand followers, the duo just released their debut album JUST TRY in October 2024

Originally hailing from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, musician Brett Matthews brings a refreshing take as a multi-genre artist by combining an eclectic list of influences from R’n’B and pop, to country and Hip-Hop to create a unique expression that is melancholic, nostalgic and beautifully musical. He shares similarities with Bon Iver, City & Colour, James Vincent McMorrow and Novo Amor.

In 2019 Brett began playing guitar for Canadian hip-hop artist Classified’s touring band, and since then has played 80+ shows, all while perfecting his craft and growing his audience through solo performances and releases.
