The Halifax Urban Folk Festival is raring to present Dennis Ellsworth, along with his Halifax All Star band (Joel Plaskett, Dave Marsh and Charles Austin) + Dustin Bentall & his Halifax All Stars + Vancouver’s Sadie Campbell at The Carleton for a night I’m sure no one is going to forget soon! We’ve said it before and we’re going to keep saying it – Dennis Ellsworth is one of the best songwriters in this, or any, country. HUFF is thrilled to have him on board this year, along with the band that recorded his new album, Things Change with him: Joel Plaskett on guitar, Charles Austin on bass and The Emergency’s Dave Marsh on drums. The album is great, the band is as good as it gets, what could you possibly be waiting for!?!

Vancouver’s Dustin Bentall is out in our neck of the woods to play some Shore Club shows with pal Matt Mays, so HUFF jumped at the chance to get him some shows during the festival. Last seen in these parts playing playing with his father Barney at The Carleton, Dustin will be backed by a Halifax All Star band and is ready, willing and able to rip it up.

Also from Vancouver, Sadie Campbell makes her first East Coast appearance on this show. She’s great, we think know you will dig her!
