Our good friends Jont & The Infinite Possibility release An Old Innocence at The Carleton Music Bar & Grill on Friday, June 30th. Show time is 10 PM and advanced tickets are $12 or you can pay $15 at the door.

3 years in the making, Jont & The Infinite Possibility’s new album AN OLD INNOCENCE is finally released world-wide on Friday June 30th. To celebrate Jont and his band are coming back to the venue that has been a kind of home for Jont since he got here in 2012.

For those of you who don’t know Jont, You are in for a treat. hailing originally from the UK, he has put out 8 albums, and his life is almost like a movie. He did the rock and roll thing in LA being managed by Tom Petty’s management and then went back to the UK where Mumford and Son’s managers managed him and put out his One Long Song EP in 2005. Since then he has put out several albums, had his music used more than once on Grey’s Anatomy and even had the closing credits song in the hit movie Wedding Crashers.

More recently he has come to Halifax to be a dad and has been working away at his music here. Last year him and his band were selected to play INVENTIONS (three nights in a Halifax church playing their set with a 150 piece orchestra and choir). The new album (now beginning to get spins on CBC) is a classic singer-songwriter album, “fiercely its own thing, yet joyfully universal” (James Cook, Uncut).

For his album launch show, Jont will be filming the whole event and streaming it live HD to the world so that all the friends he has made through his music can enjoy the show. The dress code is bright colours / carnival / fancy dress / party time…. the night will be a total blast – a great friday night out dance party whether you’ve seen Jont before or not. A couple of other local bands will kick things off and Jont will take the stage at 11.
