Apryll Aileen is a Canadian alternative pop-rock singer-songwriter, musician, multi-instrumentalist — classically trained in piano.

Her sultry vocals, captivating lyrics and alluring stage presence make Apryll a fan favourite at music festivals worldwide. Aileen transcends genres, creating her own undefinable sound with influences coming from pop, rock, blues and jazz. She doesn’t imitate – she creates. A hybrid of two polarities, she blends melodic songwriting and raspy vocal tones from modern artists such as Ellie Goulding and Halsey but performs with intensity, dynamic range and vocal gravel that Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin would be proud of.

She does it all from behind a piano but sometimes you may see her bring out a guitar, a synth or maybe even a keytar, if the mood strikes.

Her new single Wild Wolvez is an empowering message for women to reclaim their bodies, wild nature and sexuality through owning their voice and owning their power. It symbolically represents the stark nature of the misogyny-driven landscape we currently operate in and how we can create a new, raw, unfiltered wilderness that we all feel safer in.

Soulful and contemplative, Arsoniste‘s songs brave the depths of messy relationships and dysfunctional head spaces. Inspired by piano-heavy bands like The National and Radiohead, with the pop sensibilities of Adele and Coeur De Pirate, Arsoniste’s solo work embraces and reworks the pop genre, adding flourishes of unexpected complexity that reveal a playful, intellectual approach to songwriting. A regular performer at piano-bars and listening venues, Arsoniste has a passion for stripped down acoustics, which she films and releases in her Wooden Piano Live series on Youtube. With two EPs and singles released, Arsoniste currently writes and produces from her home studio in Halifax, NS.
