After his sold out solo show in March, one of Stand Back’s main men, Jacob Ballard – along with special guests Wall – will return to The Carleton to give Tevon & The Superstatics a night off on Saturday, June 18th. Show time is 8:30 PM and tickets are only $15 + HST.

Jake Ballard (guitarist from Stand Back) is known for putting on electrifying genre blending performances and keeping audiences engaged from the first note to the last chord. After his solo acoustic album release ‘Madness’ in early 2022 Jake is returning to his blues-rock roots with an electric power trio performance. For one night only Jake will be jamming with drummer Adam Coveyduc and fellow Stand Back bassist Ben Matthews for a spontaneous evening of blues, rock’n’roll and improvisation.

Wall is a new project from Kye Ehresman (The Johns), Rheo Rochon (Keith Hallett and the Hookers) and Dan Vorstermans (Wharf Rats). Playing the blues, some folk, a bit of country and all things Americana, Wall uses the minimalism of trio instrumentation finding rhythms and grooves that explore a old-school sonic landscape.
