Pat Maloney + Tyler Kealey

    7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

Joining forces for what promising to be an incredible night of music, Newfoundland’s Pat Maloney and Ottawa’s Tyler Kealey play The Carleton on Sunday, July 29th. Show time is 7:30 PM and admission is only $10 at the door.

Indie-Folk artist Pat Maloney is a happily independent singer-songwriter, encapsulating the Canadian spirit of a humble, passionate storyteller (Joel Plaskett, Gord Downie, Valdy), with an often self-defaming sense of humour. In a rich baritone, he sings heartfelt “story songs” based on his experiences on tour, his personal life and his place in the big blue world.

Twice the winner of the Canadian Organization of Campus Activities (COCA) Singer-Songwriter of the Year award, Pat Maloney is known in national folk music circles as a hard working road warrior on a never-ending tour.

Known for his vocal prowess and fast-flying improvisational piano solos, Tyler Kealey is a singer-songwriter who collects little moments in the everyday and brings them to life through his songs. With sharp, storytelling lyrics and melodic piano lines that lean into folk just as much as they do blues and rock, each performance takes the audience on a journey of untamed adventure.

He is just as at home on a festival stage as he is in a listening room; Tyler’s energy, charisma, and raw talent on his instrument have made him a favorite within the Ottawa music scene and beyond.
