Multi-talented local singer/songwriter Sadie Skinner, along with special guest His His (solo), makes her début headlining performance at The Carleton to celebrate the release of a new single, Electric Blue, on Thursday, April 9th. Show time is 7:30 PM and tickets are $20 + HST.

Sadie Skinner is a folk artist from Halifax, NS. Driven by the name of the grandmother she never met, Sadie Skinner blends haunting, intimate vocals with unique finger picked guitar to explore love, nature, joy, and the zest of life. Sadie Skinner is the folk project of musician Sarah Roberts, who performs also in Steel Cut Oats, and with Alex Coley.

His His is the recording project of now Halifax-based (via Toronto) artist Aidan Belo. Rooted in lo-fi folk, the project pairs understated songwriting with analog recording techniques to create music that feels honest, warm, and quietly melancholic. Since releasing music in late 2020, the project has quietly built an audience through a steady run of home-recorded releases and as of spring 2026, His His’ debut full-length album is slowly winding its way onto tape.”
