Valmy is a St. John’s-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Ontario who’s been following the ocean and making home on the East Coast. Exploring the complexities of relationship, loss, and healing, she uses her folk-influenced music to tell stories about loving and stumbling your way through the dark. In September 2023, Valmy released her debut full-length album, The In Between, which weaved nature-inspired melodic swells and atmospheric harmonies with her contemplative writing and arrangements. The record was warmly received by listeners and thoughtfully reviewed by Tony Ploughman of Fred’s Records; “There is a cohesiveness to this full album offering meditative musings on balancing ones own mental state in harmony with nature…Deftly produced, engineered, and mixed, “The In Between” is one of 2023’s finest NL Releases”. A MusicNL 2023 nominee for Folk Artist and Rising Star of the Year, and a 2024 ECMA nominee for African Canadian Artist of the Year, Valmy looks forward to connecting with audiences on her Autumn 2024 Eastern Canadian Tour.

Steeped in vintage sensibilities and powerful emotion, paired with dreamy vocals, ECMA nominee Avery Dakin fuses old and new in her sun-kissed Pop/R&B music. Cushioned within lush harmonies, bathing in soft sweetness, Avery’s music implores you to sway along to the earnest sounds of a woman in bloom.

Julia Cunningham is a singer-songwriter from Halifax, Canada. After years of quietly sharing her music with local audiences, she is stepping into the spotlight as a captivating emerging artist. From her warm vocals to her earnest lyrics to her skillful guitar playing, Cunningham’s folk-pop sound exudes a sense of nostalgia befitting for the end credits of a movie.
