As Mike Campbell – Carleton programmer and Halifax Urban Folk Festival Artistic Director – is discovering, if you hang around long enough, eventually you get to collect Canada’s Old Age Pension! For him, Saturday, January 12th will mark the completion of his 65th circuit around the sun and to mark this dubious accomplishment, we’re throwing a party at The Carleton to aid the Unison Benevolent Fund. The Carleton Collective will anchor the night with a few of Mike’s musical friends dropping in to lend a hand in the proceedings. Live music gets underway around 9 PM. Tickets are available for $25.
Above all else, this is supposed to be a party so there is no “shut up and listen” and there will be standing room. Hope to see you there!
