After growing a reputation as the frontperson and songwriter of the Transatlantic Zodiac Ensemble and rhythm guitarist for Donald MacLennan’s Jazz Manouche project, Michael Dalton is setting out on his own with his new project Almasy. Blending many diverse interests, his music bends the definition of what a folk song can be. Intricate guitar, powerful melody and tender detail are the pillars of his work.
