Thanks to the sell out of their June 10th date, Dennis Ellsworth‘s Tragically Hip tribute band, The Fabulously Rich, from Charlottetown, add a second show at The Carleton on Thursday, June 9th. Live music gets underway at 8 PM and tickets (while they last) are $35 + HST. Since The Hip are no longer, this is – by far – the next best thing; Ellsworth channels his friend Gord Downie like no other.

The Fabulously Rich is a live tribute to The Tragically Hip. The band formed in 2016 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The idea came about when the news broke that Gord Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The original idea was to reunite a group of old friends, who began their music careers playing together in high school, to present a tribute to one of the bands they all loved, and most frequently covered.

The Fabulously Rich has come together to pay tribute to this monumental Canadian band, while at the same time, helping to raise money for The Downie Wenjack Fund for each show they play.
