16-Mar-2020 8:30 am These are challenging times for everyone, and The Carleton’s niche of music, food, and drink is no different.
With three presumptive virus cases appearing in Nova Scotia, the Province has stepped up mandatory combative actions. See HERE for the latest info.
This measure particularly impacts The Carleton: “Organizations and businesses are required to practise social distancing of two metres (6 feet) and keep gatherings below 150 or much smaller, if possible. This applies to restaurants, bars, movie theatres, and other gathering spots.”
Our goal is to remain open, providing our guests a safe break from the real world , while taking care of musicians and staff livelihoods as best we can. To that end, we are actively realigning The Carleton to meet the social distancing requirement. We are reaching out to all upcoming artists to accommodate their decisions. Some touring musicians have already cancelled; ticket holders will be fully refunded.
First up, a St. Patrick’s Day celebration Tuesday March 17 — reduced capacity, but not reduced fun, with doors open at 12 noon and the fabulous trad fiddler Shannon Quinn taking the stage at 8 pm! No cover.
We’ll update this space as more specific show info becomes available. Thanks so much for your support over the years and patience in this wacky new world. Be wise, stay safe, wash and sanitize to 20 seconds of your fav song, support local, support live music!
