On Sunday, November 9th, join the AfterWords Literary Festival at The Carleton for readings and conversation. First, hear Sue Goyette read from and talk about Future Howl, her remarkable new book of poetry. Then, André Alexis talks Other Worlds, his new volume of short stories, with Elamin Abedelmahmoud (A Son of Elsewhere). Presented by Dalhousie University.

Sue Goyette lives in K’jipuktuk (Halifax) and has published several books of poems and a novel. Her latest collection is Future Howl, (Gaspereau Press, 2025).
André Alexis is the author of, most recently, Other Worlds, longlisted for the Toronto Book Award. He is the recipient of a Windham Campbell Prize.
Elamin Abdelmahmoud is the author of Son of Elsewhere: A Memoir in Pieces, and host of CBC’s Commotion.
