The Halifax Urban Folk Festival is excited to partner with Dartmouth’s New Scotland Brewery in Dartmouth to present Cheval (an AA Wallace project) and elusive local legend Andy McDaniel on Friday, September 2nd. Show time is 8 PM and tickets are only $15 + HST. This is a ROCK show, folks!
Cheval, AKA AA Wallace, has long cultivated a reputation for being a prolific, genre-hopping songwriter. From the over-clocked guitar rock outfit Sleepless Nights, to his eponymous Bedroom Disco/Electronic act, Wallace’s output has garnered critical acclaim, dedicated fans, and deserved industry nods. His latest project, however, takes us back to the place where it all began. Some dude with a guitar.
Andy McDaniel has been spreading his catchy guitar-driven pop for more years than he’d care to remember. After years of being the songwriter, and guitarist for Leonard Conan and Alewives he has released 2 solo albums Long story short and Good morning midnight, and has recorded a new album to be released soon.
