On the heels of the release of a new single, Some Days, Margaret Champion, with Scott Taylor and special guest Cory Tetford, makes her début at The Carleton on Sunday, February 8th, Show time is a civilized 7 PM and tickets are $25 + HST.

Margaret will share songs from her album Where Haunts Become Havens, as well as a few classics she has performed over the years with her long-time collaborator, Scott Taylor. The set list will explore some jazz, country, pop, and musical theatre. Special guest Cory Tetford will join Margaret and Scott for some tunes too!

Music and family are deeply connected for Margaret Champion. While folk and country were the beloved genres she grew up around in the Champion home, Margaret also explored musical theatre and classical repertoire both as a soloist and ensemble singer.

Margaret has sung with many choirs and has performed with community theatres in shows including: The Sound of Music, Into the Woods, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling BeeDrowsy Chaperone, and Godspell.

In December 2024, Margaret released a solo album, Where Haunts Become Havens, which was produced by Cory Tetford. The album contains a collection of songs that have frequented Margaret’s playlists over the years. Many of the tunes offer haunting stories, that through time have become havens for reflection while living in this beautiful, complex world. Margaret and Scott look forward to a January 2026 release of the single, Some Days – a voice and piano duet recently recorded live off the floor.
