| Sleepy Kicks is an angular-indie-rock foursome known for their infectious hooks, off-kilter rhythms, and a well-defined je ne sais quoi. “Wow, what a great time,” say the sweating and thrashing dive-bar patrons. “They also smelled totally normal, and I loved their je ne sais quoi“, they also definitely say. Their album, MOTH, drops in summer 2025. Just as a moth represents the complex maturation of a larva, MOTH marks a darker, more mature era for Sleepy Kicks, injecting new life into their creative homunculus. Recorded at Ocean Floor Studios using novel arrangements featuring saxophones, Wurlitzers, vocoders, and layered audio montages, the album channels ugly energy using pretty timbre, and contemplates heavy and dark themes. |
Bill Ricky is an alt-country outfit from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Taking inspiration from traditional country and folk, they have a unique knack for songwriting and delivering high energy performance. Their music combines heartfelt acoustic waltzing and boot stomping woman-rock. Since their live debut in 2023, the group has encouraged folks near and far to shine their boots and hit the dance floor. Riding the high of their debut EP release, Bill Ricky is serving country all over the East Coast of Canada.
