Silas Bonnell, with friends Maeron Sullivan, Seamus Dempster and Ethan Tyler, pulls together a great songwriters’ circle for the region’s next generation of writers at The Carleton on Thursday, August 7th. Show time is a civilized 7:30 PM and tickets are $20 + HST.

Folk-pop artist Silas Bonnell is a Dartmouth born and raised singer/songwriter and jack of all trades. Silas over the last 4 years has released 5 studio albums grossing over 400,000 streams worldwide. Silas has played stages such as The Seahorse Tavern, The Lighthouse Arts Center and many more including sold out shows at The Carleton. Silas is currently recording his 6th Studio album in SGB & Friends’ new studio in downtown Dartmouth.

Self-taught singer-songwriter 19-year-old Maeron Sullivan is a folk pop artist from Hammond’s plains Nova Scotia. Over the past 4 years Maeron has been workshopping songs with different writers and producers across the province. Maeron released her début EP Hope You Get Better Soon on June 5th, 2024. Best said by her producer Silas Bonnell “Maeron has a way of making something unrelatable to the average person, relatable through song.” Maeron is currently finishing her debut album set to release in late fall 2025.

Folk singer songwriter Seamus Dempster is what many would describe as kind to the core. Often reflecting that in his songwriting, Seamus has a unique way of writing where he can capture a listener with unmatched control and tranquility. Powerful lyrics and emotionally intelligent melodies carry his music through many homes across Nova Scotia. Signed to SGB & Friends Seamus is currently conceptualizing a full-length album.

Halifax based Ethan Tyler brings a unique sound through his rock roots and folk songs. Usually with his 5-piece rock band, The Ethan Tyler Band, Ethan is specially bringing to you his stripped-down versions and new songs to give you a head start in hearing his new music coming out this year.
