The Hightides, along with Avery Dakin, return to The Carleton on Friday, March 11th. Show time is 8 PM and tickets are $15 + HST.

The Hightides are a four-piece band from Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. Formed in late 2019 at Acadia University, the band is known locally for its energetic and fun live shows as well as an appetite for a good time. After initially focusing on covers and honing their sound through live shows, The Hightides are ready to show the world what they can do.
“We are an indie rock band whose sound ranges from cleaner pop-rock tones to crunchy blues riffs. We combine each of our tastes in music to create a unique sound, drawing inspiration from a wide array of artists and genres. Each member of the band sings, writes, and contributes to original compositions. Our performances are energetic, spontaneous, and lively. We love to interact with each other and members of the audience during our shows, charming them and drawing them into the performance. Our sets are dynamic, incorporating both high-octane rock songs and wistful ballads.“
Avery Dakin is an emerging singer-songwriter from Halifax, Nova Scotia who combines thoughtful and honest lyrics with dreamy, soulful vocals and accompaniment.
