Halifax folk-rockers The Lightning Bursts, along with the always entertauning Jesse Patrick, kick off 2026 at The Carleton on Friday, January 2nd. Show time is 8 PM and tickets are only $15 + HST.

Loud, energetic Indie Folk-Rock band The Lightning Bursts are taking Halifax by storm with a new single Everything You Love from their EP of the same name except with “And More…” tacked on. Taking influences from classic bands like Nirvana, Neutral Milk Hotel, and The Beach Boys; The Lightning Bursts mix old-school sounds with with modernity as if it’s going out of style. 

Jesse Patrick is a musician from Dartmouth, known for his soulful, old-school vibes, blending jazz, neo-soul and acoustic sounds, often featuring trumpet and guitar, with projects like Old Soul New Vibe and a deep connection to his father’s guitar-playing musical legacy in his art.
