The Jazz Enthusiast (Michael Butz), along with openers Loveself & Diamond City, team up for a well-rounded night of music at The Carleton on Saturday, August 8th. Show time is 8 PM and tickets are a steal at $15 + HST.

Michael Butz is a singer/songwriter with a decade of experience. Each instrument he plays has a different genre/feel to it. Starting off listening to alternative and non-mainstream music, Michael found joy in writing meaningful lyrics while being extremely busy with the instrumentation.

Michael started releasing under the name The Jazz Enthusiast in 2019, after being introduced to the sound of Jacob Collier and wanted subtle jazz influences in his chords, regardless of the genre at hand. Michael has developed many friends and achievements/accolades throughout his playing and networking, and has branched out into other bands during his time. In recent years, Michael put his attention to Blues and Cowboy Country music following inspiration from SRV, Big Bill Broonzy, Garrett Mason, Waylon Jennings, NRPS, Steel Saddle, Toby Keith, & Ronnie Lane.

Loveself (Joshua O’Riley) stands as a distinguished folk-rock guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer within the East Coast music scene. He is most acclaimed for his beautiful singing voice, unhindered guitar style, and unforgettable performances which intricately melds his song writing expertise with elements of the rock n roll genre.

Diamond City is an indie/alternative rock band from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, combining tasteful instrumentation with catchy vocals and soaring harmonies.
