Andre Pettipas, Elyse Aeryn and Daniel James McFadyen leave their respective bands at home for an intimate songwriters’ circle evening at The Carleton on Thursday, February 23rd. Show time is 7:30 PM and advanced tickets are $15 + HST, or you can pay $20 at the door.

Known for his hooks, energetic live shows and as front man for the ‘Grease Coast Rock N’ Roll’ band, Andre Pettipas and The Giants, Andre is also an accomplished solo performer. After winning 2017’s Q104 Homegrown Challenge which helped fund their industry demo, Andre Pettipas and The Giants showcased at numerous industry shindigs, including Canadian Music Week in Toronto and the 2018 Live at Heart festival in Sweden, and toured relentlessly. The band will be releasing their third studio album in spring 2023. Under Control was recorded at The Tragically Hip’s studio, The Bathouse, during summer of 2022.

Singer-songwriter Elyse Aeryn combines the storytelling of country music with the high energy and propulsive rhythms of rock and roll. Her bluesy melodies paired with her bold, warm voice make for an authentic sound that people are calling timeless, raw, and alive.

Award nominated folk musician Daniel James McFadyen began his musical journey by playing at  humble, bustling pubs in and around the Annapolis Valley. Daniel’s music began to gain publicity and popularity after the release of his single Goin’ Back (The Wolfville Song), an ode to the small town where he began playing music professionally. Daniel now has two EPs under his belt, and his most recent album, August, I’m Yours has been nominated for the ECMA’s Folk Recording of the Year.
