The fabulously unhinged Fred Eaglesmith returns to Halifax with his Traveling Steam Show for one night only at The Carleton on Sunday, October 4th. Show time is 8 PM and tickets are $40.
There is no one out there quite like Fred Eaglesmith, as legions of fans around the world will attest, and when he pulls into town with his Traveling Steam Show, the circus has definitely arrived. That was demonstrated clearly when Fred played his first shows at The Carleton two years ago (both sold out very quickly). Those were two nights of sheer unbridled joy that melded master classes in songwriting with what bordered on stand-up comedy. Still a couple of our favourite nights at our award-winning venue.
The heart of rock and roll is alive and well with Fred’s 20th album, Tambourine. Fusing all of Fred’s past influences, the result is pure rock ‘n’ roll reminiscent of 1966, combining his craftsmanship in songwriting, Motown, and even Tejano influences. Fred is not one to shy away from taking chances with his music and career direction, Tambourine is no exception.
