The Halifax Urban Folk Festival‘s 10th anniversary is proud to present The Gordie Sampson Songcamp 10th anniversary! The night will involve two songwriters’ circles featuring Songcampers Dylan Guthro, Jodi Guthro, Mo Kenney, Carleton Stone, Dave Sampson, Kayleigh O’Connor, Maura Whitman, Cameron Nickerson and Willie Stratton at The Carleton on Monday, August 26th. The success of Grammy and Juno Award winner Gordie Sampson’s Songcamp is well documented, as evidenced by the emergence of alumni like the writers in Port Cities, Dave Sampson and Mo Kenney. All of those folks and a bunch of up-and-comers will participate in a show celebrating 10 years of Songcamp collaborations with a double shot of songwriters’ circles in a respectful listening environment. Our festival is about singers, songs and stories and this night will be a treat.
