Thanks to popular demand, Ben Caplan returns to The Carleton for two more intimate shows on Wednesday, September 9th (this one) and Thursday, September 10th. Show time on Wendesday is 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM on Thursday. Tickets each night are $50 + HST.

Caplan will be gearing up for a tour of Scandinavia and Eastern Europe in the Fall. Before leaving home, he’s taking the opportunity to try out some new songs and experiments in an exquisite listening room. Of course, he’ll also take the time to play some old favourites from his five albums and tell some stories from the writing room and the road. Halifax’s Ben Caplan is a singer, songwriter, and live performer known for his unmistakable baritone voice and emotionally immersive concerts. Blending folk, blues, gospel, and Eastern European influences, his music often feels less like a performance and more like a shared ritual—songs shaped by breath, silence, poetry, and raw emotion.

Since releasing his latest album, The Flood, he has been busy with national and international touring with the band including sold out shows with Symphony Nova Scotia and headlining the Light House Arts Centre.
