Southwestern Ontario’s Steven Ryan Band, with able assistance from local favourite Daniel James McFadyen, plays The Carleton on Thursday, August 31st. Show time is 7:30 PM and tickets are $20 + HST.

Steven Ryan is a pop/ adult contemporary singer songwriter from Southern Ontario making strides in his mission to emotionally connect with as many people as possible through music.. 

His debut album Take My Hand produced by Juno winning producer Dan Brodbeck (Dolores O’riordan, Landon Pigg) was released in 2014. Since then he’s had viral success on YouTube with over 3 million views and over 1 Million streams across digital platforms.

He has had TV appearances on CHCH and Breakfast Television and shared stages with world renowned acts such as The Trews, Marianas Trench, and David Usher. He has been invited to participate in multiple industry songwriting camps by both the S.A.C and CYMBA Publishing; resulting in noteworthy co-writes and collaborations with Liz Rodrigues (Eminem, Celine Dion, Pink), Rob Wells (Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez) and Emma-Lee Doty (Tim Hicks, Brett Kissel), and Vince Degiorgio (NSYNC, President of CYMBA Music Publishing). Additionally Steven has written songs for Flipp, Desjardins and NY Times top ten author Dr. Tom Deans.

Steven’s 2021 Album Light Of Day was self produced and secured editorial playlisting on Spotify as well as Youtube Music. The album was top 5 on iTunes Canada singer-songwriter chart. Light of Day continues to see growth with thousands of videos using music from the album on Tik Tok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

The first follow up singles to Steven’s 2021 album are the emotional ballad One Plus One and the love song confessional Fall In Love Again. Steven’s latest single Somebody Love Me is available now!

Daniel James McFadyen’s debut album August, I’m Yours was released in 2021, and in a short time secured his place in the Canadian music industry. He was nominated for Folk Recording of the Year at the 2022 East Coast Music Awards, and Entertainer of the Year and Folk Recording of the Year at the 2022 Nova Scotia Music Awards. Daniel fell in love with the East Coast while on a family trip at fourteen years old. “There’s something inspiring about the people and culture on the East Coast; it’s the most supportive community I have ever encountered”. When Daniel is not playing music, he spends his time as a working photographer in the Annapolis Valley, or at his home in the small town of Hortonville with his dog Maggie.
