For our money, Matt Wright is one of the funniest guys in Canadian comedy. Apparently, others think so too because his first show sold out. So we’re thrilled to be able to say he will be performing a second stand-up show at The Carleton on Wednesday, October 28th. Show time is 9:30 PM and tickets are only $20.

***If you want to sit with others who have purchased their tickets separately, please email reservations@thecarleton.ca with the names***

Originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, Matt Wright is a Canadian stand-up comedian, writer, actor and director. Matt is known for his sharp, clean, observational comedy about the struggle of being a person, and he can transition seamlessly between one-liners, storytelling, and silliness.

Matt’s new album, Existing Is Exhausting, was recorded in front of a live audience at the Quidi Vidi Brewery in St. John’s, NL, and released on October 3, 2019. Matt toured the album throughout the Arts and Culture Centres in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador in October of 2019, and across Canada opening for Danny Bhoy on his Just for Laughs presented tour through November of 2019.

Matt has appeared on three Just for Laughs Galas (Laverne Cox 2017, Ken Jeong 2018, and Jon Dore 2020), This Hour Has 22 Minutes (where he was a staff writer for three seasons), CBC’s The Debaters, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Halifax Comedy Festival, and internationally at venues like the Comedy Store in Sydney, Australia.
