Strange Plants draws its roots from the creative partnership of Travis Flint and Matt Brannon, formerly of Halifax alt-country band Hot Mondy. With influences ranging from Pink Floyd and Supertramp to MGMT and Jack White, the band crafts a sound that’s rich in texture and steeped in analog authenticity.

Recorded over eight intense days at Nashville’s Creative Workshop Studio, Strange Plants’ upcoming self-titled debut album features the talents of producer Robbie Crowell, along with standout guitar contributions from Adam Meisterhans. The album captures Strange Plants’ mission: to merge the warmth of vintage psychedelia with the edge of modern rock.

Logan Edward MacKay is a singer-songwriter from Halifax Nova Scotia, Logan has found a sweet spot between the simplicity of folk songs and the reflective truth within songwriting, with an alternative edge.
